Those in the ski and snowboard industry know the SnowSports Industries America (SIA) annual Snow Show at the Colorado Convention Center, to be held at the end of January, is an event that can’t be missed. While the focus has been primarily on new products and new trends, SIA has joined forces with The ASSEMBLY to kick off the Snow Show with an event designed to engage and challenge attendees.

The ASSEMBLY, to be held on January 28, was initiated to assemble all stakeholders in year-round mountain travel, in one place, at one time, for one day, in order to create a collective fact base to better plan for the future. With broad support and encouragement, the conversation will continue as The ASSEMBLY and its participants navigate their way through numbers, trends and future industry development. Featured speakers at The ASSEMBLY include ski industry leaders like Michael Berry, President, National Ski Areas Association, Bill Jensen, among others.

Carl Ribaudo, President of SMG Consulting, a leading tourism and recreation consulting firm, has been asked to participate in this year’s ASSEMBLY. A thought leader in the mountain tourism space, Ribaudo will participate in three workshops, including the Economics of Summer, Special Events and their Impact on Destination Tourism, and the Outlook for DMOs.

“It’s an honor to be asked to speak at The ASSEMBLY, one of the leading mountain tourism conferences in the country,” noted Ribaudo. “I look forward to sharing my ideas on marketing strategy.”

Heading to Denver next week?  Let Carl know – he’d love to connect.
